I love vintage. When I say this, I mean
love, LOVE. So, when I found myself in Seoul, South Korea, I immediately
embarked on a hunt for the country's vintage scene. I was not disappointed.
Seoul has a unique, original, and truly inspiring sense of fashion, and the city's vintage scene is nothing short of amazing. What started out as a waygook (foreigner) wandering the city with a map, and a prayer, has turned into a formal love affair Seoul.
I learned the language, proper etiquette, the transit system, all of it. I have my favorite adjummas to buy from (older women), haggle like a pro, and have learned every nook and cranny of the city's vintage market.
Every adventure into the city and surrounding country is an instance that I fall further in love with South Korea. I love my shop, I treasure the vintage items I rescue, and I am beyond excited to bring the best of Seoul to you.
Seoul Sold is a small operation consisting of myself, and my husband Rich. Rich is a patient partner, photographer, a constant source of encouragement, and serves as a wonderful listener for all of my ideas. I plan my trips methodically, make all the purchases, model, mend, and list every item myself. Oh yea, I also work as an English teacher to an ever-growing number of adorable Korean children at a local private school.
My name is Crystal, I love vintage, and I hope you will love what I have to share.

Hey Crystal!
ReplyDeleteI've only been to S. Korea three times. Once when I was like five... Again at 15 and then this past May.
I gotta say that I loved MyungDong and HangDong area. Those were the happening places. Really, I like all the places that have the shopping! :)Haha!
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI love Myongdong!!! I haven't been to HangDong though, where is that around? You are right the best places are places that do shopping. I can't get enough of Dongdaemun and Sookdae for the shopping, so much fun!
